The Allen Mustangs fell victim to the Hartshorne Miners''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Miners, falling 40-0. Having soared to a lofty 48 points in the game before, Allen couldn't push the score so high this time.
Leading Hartshorne to victory were Jackson Moody and Acetin Rowell. Moody rushed for 60 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, while Rowell rushed for 73 yards and three touchdowns.
Allen's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Hartshorne, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-3.
Allen will head out on the road to face off against Mounds at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Oklahoma (Mounds is ranked 214th, while Allen is ranked 216th). As for Hartshorne, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Liberty at 7:00 p.m. Liberty is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
