The Northeast Dubois Jeeps waltzed into their contest Tuesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They greeted the New Year with with a 45-28 win over Forest Park. For Northeast Dubois, this counts as revenge for the 33-23 defeat Forest Park walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Northeast Dubois can attribute much of their success to Emmersen Kalb, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Bella Cummins, who scored six points along with three steals.
Northeast Dubois' win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Forest Park, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northeast Dubois will stay at home for another game and welcome Bloomfield at 7:30 p.m. on January 4th. Bloomfield has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 25. As for Forest Park, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Jasper at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Jasper is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
