The Kennett Blue Demons will head out on the road to face off against the Great Valley Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.
Last Friday, Kennett suffered a rough 35-12 loss at the hands of Sun Valley. Kennett has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 41-10, which was the final score in Great Valley's tilt against Bayard Rustin on Friday. While losing is never fun, Great Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 309th, while Bayard Rustin is ranked 99th).
Kennett has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Great Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 3-6.
Everything went Kennett's way against Great Valley in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 as Kennett made off with a 30-7 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kennett since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
