Canyon is 8-0-1 against Wagner since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Canyon Cougars will head out on the road to take on the Wagner Thunderbirds at 7:15 p.m. Canyon's last four matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Canyon was not quite Smithson Valley's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Rangers by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that Canyon has lost by exactly one goal.
Meanwhile, Wagner came up short against Veterans Memorial on Friday and fell 3-1. Wagner has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Canyon has not been sharp recently as the team has lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season. As for Wagner, they dropped their record down to 2-11-3 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.
