If the Scheck Hillel Community School Lions were riding high off their 57-19 takedown of the Avant Garde Academy Sharks last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Scheck Hillel Community School lost to David Posnack Jewish Day on the road by a decisive 48-29 margin on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Scheck Hillel Community School of the 45-21 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2023.
David Posnack Jewish Day found their leader in underclassman Sophia Klein, who scored 15 points along with six steals and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Azafrani, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.
Scheck Hillel Community School's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for David Posnack Jewish Day, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
Scheck Hillel Community School will be playing at home against Downtown Doral at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for David Posnack Jewish Day, they will head out on the road to challenge Chaminade-Madonna at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Chaminade-Madonna is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
