The Yale Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Keota Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Yale comes in on three and Keota on six.
With a playoff game on the line, Yale rose to the challenge on Friday. They really took it to Wetumka for the full four quarters, racking up a 60-14 win on the road. Yale might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won five matchups by 35 points or more this season.
Cornelius Prather continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 104 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 carries, while also throwing for 175 yards and two touchdowns while completing 88.9% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Rolland, who rushed for 49 yards and a touchdown.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Yale's defense and their five sacks. In that department, Lucas Reece was the leader with two sacks.
Meanwhile, even though Quinton scored an imposing 40 points on Friday, Keota still came out on top. Keota snuck past Quinton with a 46-40 win.
Yale pushed their record up to 8-3 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Keota, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.
