Last Friday, BASIS - Mesa got the win against 91st Psalm Christian School by a conclusive 62-36. The win made it back-to-back wins for BASIS - Mesa.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to BASIS - Scottsdale, who are still winless after their sixth match. They took a 65-49 bruising from Heritage Academy on Monday.
Despite their defeat, BASIS - Scottsdale saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Nithish Prakash, who scored 19 points along with three steals, was perhaps the best of all. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Tropper, who scored 12 points along with four steals.
BASIS - Mesa now has a winning record of 3-2. As for BASIS - Scottsdale, they bumped their record down to 0-6 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
