The Bacon Academy Bobcats waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with three straight wins but they left with four. They secured a 46-42 W over Windham. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Bacon Academy also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Several Whippets players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaelize Rivera, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Lebiszczak, who scored six points along with two steals.
Bacon Academy's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Windham, their loss dropped their record down to 11-3.
Bacon Academy will head out on the road to square off against North Branford at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Windham, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Montville at 7:00 p.m. Montville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Connecticut Rankings (they are ranked 113th, while Windham is ranked 23rd).
