Central Woodstock extended their losing streak  to three  on Friday, dropping them down to 2-3. They were two  points away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   42-40 heartbreaker at the hands of the Skyline Hawks. On the bright side, the 40- point  effort marked the Falcons' highest-scoring  contest to date.
 Central Woodstock's  loss shouldn't obscure the performances of  Sean Stead, who rushed for 138 yards and two  TDs, and  Noah Moss, who threw for 214 yards and four  touchdowns on only 19 passes.  Chris Brown helped out on the ground, rushing for 85 yards.
As for Skyline,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 2-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win they have posted  against Central Woodstock since August 28, 2015.
  Zayden Burks produced another solid  performance rushing for 294 yards and three  scores while picking up 8.6 yards per carry. That's the most  rushing touchdowns  he has posted since back in November of 2024.  Marques Lockhart was another key player, picking up 75 receiving yards and a pair of  touchdowns.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming  matchups. Central Woodstock will head out to  square off against Clarke County  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Falcons will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 38.8  points per  game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Skyline, they are taking a road trip to  face off against Fauquier  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
