The Knightstown Panthers will take on the Daleville Broncos at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.
On Monday, Knightstown made easy work of Tri and carried off a 13-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won eight games by seven runs or more so far this season.
Mason Butler looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single hit in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Knightstown let Travis Louks and Bryce Marrow run wild. Louks got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run, while Marrow went 1-for-2 with three RBI. Those three RBI gave Marrow a new career-high. Tony Louks was another key player, earning two runs and two stolen bases.
Knightstown was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tri only posted a batting average of .176.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Daleville). They blew past Indiana School for the Deaf 24-5 on Monday. The Broncos not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 13, 2024 (when they won 19-0).
Ayden Ramirez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Daleville is 3-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 4-5 otherwise. Ramirez was even better at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Bryson Sigler and Caleb Aikin did most of the damage at the plate: Sigler went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs, while Aikin got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI. Aikin is becoming a predictor of Daleville's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 5-1 (and 2-5 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Noah Colvin, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
The win made it two in a row for Knightstown and bumps their season record up to 10-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Daleville, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Knightstown hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .321. However, it's not like Daleville struggles in that department as they've averaged .320. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Knightstown took their win against Daleville in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 9-2 score. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Broncos have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
