The Esparto Spartans will take on the Bradshaw Christian The Pride at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Esparto is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Esparto had no problem doing just that on Friday. They had just enough and edged the Yellowjackets out 2-1.
Meanwhile, neither Bradshaw Christian nor Ben Holt College Prep Academy could gain the upper hand on Friday so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.
Bradshaw Christian avoided a loss thanks to
Connor Beckner and
Kaedin Vizitiu, who posted both of Bradshaw Christian's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 15 so far this season.
Esparto's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-6-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 44 goals over those six matchups. With that draw, Bradshaw Christian's record moves to 10-9-2.
