Normal West has gone 9-1 against Centennial recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Wildcats will challenge the Chargers at 5:00 p.m. Normal West will be strutting in after a win while Centennial will be coming in after a loss.

Normal West took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Richwoods by a score of 2-0. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Normal West not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Richwoods between 16 and 17 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Centennial came up short against Mahomet-Seymour on Tuesday and fell 2-0. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Centennial may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored zero points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-0, 25-0.

Normal West's win bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Centennial, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-14.

Normal West was able to grind out a solid victory over Centennial when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
