Wellsville had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against Anderson County on Friday as they made off with a 50-16 win. That result is just more of the same for Wellsville, who also won the last time these teams played.
Wellsville's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 30 points in the first half. Meanwhile, Anderson County couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 30-0 heading into the break. The offense for Wellsville continued to do well in the second half, scoring another 20 points. The game leaves both teams with the exact same record at 0-0.
Wellsville will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Iola . As for Anderson County, they will face off against Parsons.
