The Tabernacle Torches were the 35-34 winner over the Chilton Christian Academy Patriots when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Tabernacle fell 47-34 to Chilton Christian Academy on Saturday. Tabernacle has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Chilton Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chelsea Oliver led the charge by scoring six points along with nine rebounds. Oliver is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last nine games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoe Jones, who scored eight points.
Tabernacle has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. As for Chilton Christian Academy, their win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-1.
Tabernacle will take on Cornerstone Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chilton Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Conecuh Springs Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
