On Friday, things could have been worse for Legacy School of Sport Sciences Maroon, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 61-43 loss to Brennan. While losing is never fun, Legacy School of Sport Sciences Maroon can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 585th, while Brennan is ranked 37th).
Kamorian Cole and Jayvion Mitchell certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Cole scored five points, while Mitchell scored five points.
Brennan got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kingston Flemings out in front who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Talon Todd, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Legacy School of Sport Sciences Maroon has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season. As for Brennan, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-4.
Legacy School of Sport Sciences Maroon is on the road again on Friday and play against Varsity Opponent at 8:00 p.m. on December 1st. Brennan won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Marian at 1:00 p.m. on December 2nd. One thing working in Marian's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five games.
