After flying high against Kremlin-Hillsdale last Friday, Garber came back down to earth. Garber found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 26-52 punch to the gut against Cherokee on Friday. The state rankings had actually given Garber a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
The loss dropped Garber's record to 2-4. The victory bumped Cherokee's record up to 4-3.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week Garber take on Ringwood at 7:00 PM. Given that they both suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup. Cherokee will be staying on the road, facing off against Kremlin-Hillsdale. Kremlin-Hillsdale are limping into the contest on a seven-game losing streak.
