Even though Central scored an imposing 58 points on Saturday, Owensboro Catholic still came out on top. Owensboro Catholic enjoyed a cozy 76-58 victory over Central.
Owensboro Catholic got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jenna Krampe out in front who scored 23 points along with six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Krampe has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Hailee Johnson, who scored 22 points along with three steals.
Bowling Green has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell just short of Warren Central by a score of 34-31. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Bowling Green came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 39th, while Warren Central is ranked 192nd).
Owensboro Catholic has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season. As for Bowling Green, their loss dropped their record down to 16-7.
Owensboro Catholic came out on top in a nail-biter against Bowling Green in their previous meeting back in March of 2023, sneaking past 54-51. Will Owensboro Catholic repeat their success, or does Bowling Green have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
