The Liberty County Bulldogs had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They secured a 33-29 W over Wakulla. That's another feather in the cap for Liberty County, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Gabriella Flowers continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points. Caleigh Peddie was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Despite the loss, Wakulla had strong showings from Kyendra Thomas, who scored 14 points along with eight steals, and Amariyah Donaldson, who dropped a double-double on ten rebounds and ten blocks. Thomas scored a full 48.3% of Wakulla's points, the eighth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Xzaveria Robinson, who scored four points along with 11 rebounds.
Liberty County's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. As for Wakulla, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
Liberty County will be home for the holidays to greet Altha at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Wakulla is on the road again on Friday and play against Franklin County at 4:30 p.m. on December 15th.
