The Northwest Texans will be home for the holidays to greet the Aledo Bearcats at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Northwest has struggled recently with nine defeats in a row, while Aledo will arrive with four straight wins.
Last Tuesday, Northwest came up short against Saginaw and fell 52-44. That's two games in a row now that Northwest has lost by exactly eight points.
Meanwhile, Aledo didn't have too much trouble with Rider at home on Tuesday as they won 51-37. 51 seems to be a good number for Aledo as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Northwest bumped their record down to 3-13 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Aledo, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.
Northwest suffered a grim 49-29 defeat to Aledo when the teams last played back in January. Can Northwest avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
