Tri-Township hasn't had much luck against Morgan Township recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Tri-Township Tigers will host the Morgan Township Cherokees at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Tri-Township will head into Friday's game out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They took a blow against Washington Township, falling 65-35. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 429th, while the Senators are ranked 163rd).
Dillon Stewart put forth a good effort for the losing side as he dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. That was a full 51.4% of Tri-Township's points, marking the tenth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kade Koselke, who put up seven points and six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Morgan Township didn't have quite enough to beat Boone Grove on Friday and fell 58-56. The Cherokees have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Tri-Township has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 28.4 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Morgan Township struggles in that department as they've been averaging 21.7 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Tri-Township was dealt a bruising 74-37 defeat at the hands of Morgan Township in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Tri-Township was down 42-20.
