Softball Recap: Atwater Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Atwater entered their tilt with Le Grand on Tuesday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Le Grand Bulldogs with a sharp 10-4 win. Considering the Falcons have won four games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Audrina Granados was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Mia Hendrickson was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Atwater kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive matchups.

Atwater's victory bumped their record up to 6-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Atwater will head out to take on Hilmar at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Atwater is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.5 runs per game this season. As for Le Grand, they will venture away from home to square off against Merced at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Merced's pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so Le Grand's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
