Reno is 6-0 against Wooster since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. Both teams will round out the year against one another at 10:00 a.m. at. Wooster took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Reno, who comes in off a win.
Last Thursday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Reno beat Reed 38-34. 38 seems to be a good number for Reno as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Natalia Schettler and Kindle Rowe were among the main playmakers for Reno as the former scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and the latter scored ten points along with six rebounds. Schettler continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.
Meanwhile, Wooster's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a 44-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Portola. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Wooster came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 62nd in Nevada, while Portola is ranked 866th in California).
The win makes it two in a row for Reno and bumps their season record up to 5-3. As for Wooster, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
Everything came up roses for Reno against Wooster in their previous meeting back in December of 2019 as the team secured a 59-16 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Reno since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
