It's playoff time, and Hughson had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the Ben Holt College Prep Academy Bobcats on Tuesday as they made off with  a  15-0 win. Considering the Huskies have won 12 contests by more than five  runs this season, Tuesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Bryce McDaniel made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-2 with one  run and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Carlos Guizar, who  went 3-for-4 with one  home run, six  RBI,  and two  runs. That's the most  hits  he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was  Andrew Fisher, who  went 2-for-4 with three  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double.
 Hughson  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .581. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ben Holt College Prep Academy only posted  an  OBP of  .176.
Hughson is  on a roll lately: they've  won 18 of their last 21 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-5 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Ben Holt College Prep Academy, they moved to 9-8 with that  defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.
 Coming up, Hughson will challenge Venture Academy at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Mustangs' pitching crew has only allowed 1.9  runs per game  this season, so the Huskies' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Ben Holt College Prep Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
