Lake Orion was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight  loss. They were a single  set away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Imlay City Spartans. The Dragons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in October of 2023.
 Several Dragons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Sarah Traynoff, who  had 13 assists and three  digs.  Izzy Wells was another key player,  getting four  digs and two  aces.
Lake Orion's loss dropped their record down to 9-8-1. As for Imlay City, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record  this season.
 Lake Orion didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  game,  a  2-1  victory against North Farmington on the 13th. Imlay City has also already played their next  contest (against Almont), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
