The Orme Warriors can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They secured a 46-42 W over Caurus Academy. For Orme, this counts as revenge for the 56-41 loss Caurus Academy walked away with the last time they faced one another last Thursday.
Orme was led to victory by Owen Rudolph and Bartek Kreglewski. Rudolph scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and three steals, while Kreglewski scored 18 points along with seven steals and two blocks. That's the first time this season that Rudolph scored 15 or more points.
Orme's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Caurus Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Orme won't have much time to rest: their next match is against BASIS - Prescott at 5:00 p.m. on January 19th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (BASIS - Prescott is ranked 265th, while Orme is ranked 255th). Caurus Academy will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Trinity Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Trinity Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
