Lewis is on a four-game streak of home losses, Douglass a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Lewis Falcons will take on the Douglass Mighty Ducks at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lewis comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last ten games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 69-10, which was the final score in Lewis' tilt against Patterson on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Douglass was beaten by Forest Park 90-7 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Douglass can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 198th, while Forest Park is ranked 23rd).
Lewis' defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Douglass, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.
Lewis came up short against Douglass when the teams last played back in January of 2020, falling 43-30. Can Lewis avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
