Big Bear took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Thursday. They breezed past the Riverside Prep Silver Knights to the tune of 41-7. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Silver Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
One reason for the win was Big Bear's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. In that department, Wade Addington was the leader with two.
Riverside Prep's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Ethan McClain, who picked up 122 receiving yards and one TD, and Daniel Gutierrez, who threw for 219 yards and one touchdown.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Big Bear will welcome Rim of the World at 7:00 p.m. on the 29th. As for Riverside Prep, they will host Desert Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 29th.
