The Centennial Eagles will be playing at home against the Suncoast Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Centennial had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They breezed by Vero Beach at home to the tune of 75-48. Given Centennial's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 59th, while Vero Beach is ranked 324th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Centennial can attribute much of their success to Felix Buroz, who scored 14 points along with 5 assists, and Antawn SmithJR, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Jayson Smith, who scored 9 points.
Meanwhile, Suncoast earned a 50-43 win over Jupiter on Friday.
Centennial's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Suncoast, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
