Family Christian is 0-10 against Maurepas since March of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Family Christian Flames will be playing at home against the Maurepas Wolves at 4:00 p.m. Family Christian has given up an average of 6.7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
Family Christian lost 20-13 to False River on Tuesday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Monday (ten), the Flames still had to take the loss.

Terrance Kilbourne made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all five of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (three). Another player making a difference was Devyn Baker, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Maurepas waltzed into their game on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 7-4 win over the Patriots.
Alex Aime and Kade Penalber made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Aime pitched 3.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs but no hits. Meanwhile, Penalber struck out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Maurepas is undefeated when Penalber allowstwo or fewer hits, but 4-9 otherwise. At bat, Aime got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases and one RBI, while Penalber scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4. Aime is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
In other batting news, Noah Dugas was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonah Miller, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his five plate appearances.
Maurepas' victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Family Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.
