Wayne Preparatory Academy extended their winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Isaiah Thomas. The Generals blew past the Neuse Charter Cougars 95-69 on Saturday for which the team can thank Thomas, who shot 6-for-10 from deep and almost dropped a double-double with 41 points and nine rebounds. His big performance that afternoon made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points.
The team also got some help courtesy of Tyron Jones, who shot 62% from the field to rack up 18 points. Jones is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season.
Jeremiah Edwards and Klayton Tew certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Edwards posted 25 points and seven boards, while Tew dropped a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Zavien Holmes, who scored ten points and six boards.
Wayne Preparatory Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Neuse Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.
