Castle won the last time they met up with Evansville Harrison, and they shouldn't regret having come to the reunion, either. Castle were fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Evansville Harrison 55-14. The margin was wide but not a surprise since Castle are ranked far ahead of Evansville Harrison in the MaxPreps state rankings.
Castle's offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 41 first-half points. Meanwhile, Evansville Harrison couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 41-0 heading into the break. The Castle defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 6 and all but finishing the contest.
Reece Yunker, who rushed for 151 yards and 2 touchdowns, was a major factor in Castle's success. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse senior Logan Humphrey, who racked up 12 tackles. The victory bumped Castle's record up to 4-3. The defeat dropped Evansville Harrison's record to 2-5.
Next week Castle take on Evansville North at 7:00 PM. The team will be hoping to continue their now five-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last. As for Evansville Harrison, they will face off against Evansville Memorial. Evansville Harrison stagger into the game hobbled by three consecutive losses while Evansville Memorial skip in buoyed by seven consecutive wins.
