In a tight contest that could have gone either way, Maple Mountain made off with a 47-46 victory over Springville. The win made it back-to-back wins for Maple Mountain.
Maple Mountain's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Leah Bailey, who scored 15 points along with six assists and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Shay Brown, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Maple Mountain is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Springville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.
Maple Mountain will head out on the road to take on Timpview at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Timpview is on a four-game streak of home wins, Maple Mountain a seven-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Springville will take on Salem Hills at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
