Dawson's game  on Tuesday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a  win as the  team sidled past Rice  2-1. The  victory was some much needed relief for Dawson as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Dawson's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Rice, they moved to 6-6 with that  defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
 Looking ahead, Dawson will be playing in front of their home fans against Abbott  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Rice, they have already played their next matchup,  a  2-0  victory against Penelope on the 21st.
