The Satellite Scorpions's and the Melbourne Bulldogs's game on Tuesday was close at halftime, but the Satellite Scorpions turned on the heat in the second half with 36 points. Satellite blew past Melbourne 62-42. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Satellite has managed all season.
Satellite found their leader in underclassman K'dynce Cataldo, who scored 18 points. Cataldo continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Michael Otero, who scored 12 points.
Satellite's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Melbourne, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Satellite will head out on the road to face off against Cocoa Beach at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cocoa Beach will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 377th, while Satellite is ranked 109th). Melbourne won't have much time to rest: their next match is against West Shore at 7:00 p.m. on December 13th. West Shore is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 54.6 points per game.
