Adding to the longest winning streak in 4A Region 8 this week, St. Stanislaus beat Moss Point 41-21. The win marks ninth in a row for the the Rock-a-Chaws.
Vancleave took down Pass Christian 44-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Tyler Allen threw for 292 yards and 5 touchdowns. He went 18-23 with 0 interceptions.
Malik Lucas was a beast in the backfield as Poplarville bested Bay.
Allen put up the best numbers through the air as St. Stanislaus beat the Tigers. Allen's favorite target this week was Chase Rhodes, who caught 5 passes for 102 yards.
Gabe Fertitta's team's Allen and Brennen Bradley led the league in both passing and receiving yards. Allen has thrown for 3,320 yards this season, while Bradley has 71 catches for 1,388 yards. Lucas from the Hornets leads the league in rushing with 920 yards.
Lucas of the Poplarville is only 80 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Lucas has rushed for 920 yards on 108 carries so far this year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Chris Teal's team takes on Vancleave. The Hornets are in second place, while Jim Bloomfield's team is in third place.
