The Hicksville Aces will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Tinora Rams at 6:30 p.m. Hicksville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Tuesday, Hicksville took a serious blow against the Tigers, falling 65-35. While losing is never fun, Hicksville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 696th, while the Tigers are ranked 59th).
Despite the loss, Hicksville saw an underclassman step up: Kennedy Adams scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Hicksville struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They are winless (0-5) when they can't control their own glass like that.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Tinora ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They managed a 49-45 win over Montpelier.
Hicksville's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Tinora, they pushed their record up to 9-7 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
