The Adams City Eagles won the last time they faced the Aurora West College Prep Academy Spartans, and things went their way on Monday too. Adams City simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Aurora West College Prep Academy 90-11 at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 46-6.
Adams City had a senior duo take command as Dajon Jones scored 12 points along with 5 steals and Jeramiah Fernandez scored 14 points along with 4 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kevin Casillas, who scored 9 points along with 5 rebounds.
The win got Adams City back to even at 1-1. As for Aurora West College Prep Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Adams City will square off against Pomona at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Pomona focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Saturday. Aurora West College Prep Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on STEM School Highlands Ranch at 6:00 p.m. on December 14th.
