Grandview entered their tilt with Vista PEAK Prep on Tuesday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They never let the Bison get on the board and left with an 11-0 win. The Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by six runs or more this season.

Justin Dean looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Grandview got a massive performance out of AJ Maroni, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Kayden Bohmeyer, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Grandview always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .536. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.

Grandview's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Vista PEAK Prep, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.

Looking ahead, Grandview will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Castle View at 4:15 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wolves 2.1, the Sabercats 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Vista PEAK Prep, they will welcome Aurora Central at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bison's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season.
