C District 2 (8 Man) recap Nov. 7, 2012
Tipton extended the longest winning streak in C District 2 (8 Man) this week by beating Corn Bible Academy, 50-0. The win marks 10th in a row for the the Tigers.
Tipton took down the Crusaders 50-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Ryan's dynamic duo of Trent Dunaway and Austin Hawthorne proved tough for Grandfield to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Dunaway threw for 27 yards and one touchdown and Hawthorne had 27 yards receiving.
Colby Cusher was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 321 yards on 32 carries as Duke topped the Bearcats. Teammate Kolyn Farmer added to the ground attack by rushing for 48 yards.
Garrett Earls made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Tigers defeated Gracemont. The freshman recorded one fumble and grabbed one sack.
Jim Kerbo 's team's Gerald White and Bryant Flores have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. White has thrown for 548 yards this season, while Flores, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has 10 catches for 300 yards. Ryan's Tyler Brown leads the league in rushing yards with 1203.
Duke and the Lions played the most hotly contested game in C District 2 (8 Man) this week, with Duke eventually emerging with a 48-44 victory. Cusher caught two passes for 15 yards in the win.
