Volleyball Recap: St. Johns Wins Going Away Against Fountain Hills

After losing to Fountain Hills the last time they met, St. Johns decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Redskins were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Falcons on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Redskins.

While St. Johns won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-22, 25-19.

Roerie Knight paced St. Johns' offense, picking up 17 kills. Knight got some help from Susie Andrus and her 18 assists. Kasey Tsinajinnie controlled things from the service line, finishing with 11 aces.

St. Johns' victory bumped their record up to 19-8. As for Fountain Hills, their defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-15.

Coming up, St. Johns will square off against Blue Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fountain Hills, they will take on Scottsdale Preparatory Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
