Worthington Kilbourne is 10-0 against the Falcons since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Worthington Kilbourne Wolves will be playing at home against the Franklin Heights Falcons at 7:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Worthington Kilbourne and four for the Falcons.
Worthington Kilbourne pushed their score all the way to 65 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 76-65 to Big Walnut. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Worthington Kilbourne in their matchups with the Golden Eagles: they've now lost five in a row.
Loss or not, Worthington Kilbourne got some senior leadership from Aidan Gallogly and Te'mar Lewis. Gallogly scored 17 points along with three steals, while Lewis. scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Wolford, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, Franklin Heights pushed their score all the way to 63 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. The game between them and Dublin Scioto wasn't particularly close, with Franklin Heights falling 77-63. While losing is never fun, Franklin Heights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 635th, while the Irish are ranked 300th).
Worthington Kilbourne has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season. As for Franklin Heights, they dropped their record down to 2-16 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road.
Worthington Kilbourne was able to grind out a solid win over the Falcons in their previous meeting back in January, winning 55-44. Will Worthington Kilbourne repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
