Austin Maddox was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out 14 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Those 14 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing five bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Blake Creswell, who scored a run and stole five bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
