Kimball has been on the road for three straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Bear Creek Bruins at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Kimball beat Livingston 69-63. Given Kimball's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 540th, while Livingston is ranked 1155th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Kimball found their leader in underclassman Tristen DeBenedetti, who scored 21 points along with 6 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tobe Nwankwo, who scored 8 points.
Meanwhile, Bear Creek's game on Friday was all tied up 32-32 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Sierra by a score of 65-62. Bear Creek has struggled against Sierra recently, as their game on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
The losses dropped Kimball to 6-4 and Livingston to 2-9.
Kimball skirted past Bear Creek 55-52 in their previous matchup back in December of 2021. Will Kimball repeat their success, or does Bear Creek have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
