There's no place like home for Mater Lakes Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They were the clear victor by an 86-61 margin over the Braddock Bulldogs on Wednesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bears as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Mater Lakes Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tai Bell out in front who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 14 boards. The dominant performance gave Bell a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Bertran Walthour, who went 8 of 17 on his way to 19 points and six rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why Braddock lost, don't look at Luca De La Paz. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jhonny Felix, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 14 points and five rebounds.
