Fairland is 6-1 against Chesapeake since October of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Fairland Dragons will head out on the road to face off against the Chesapeake Panthers at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Fairland has six straight wins, Chesapeake has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Friday, Fairland blew past Dawson-Bryant, posting a 56-22 win on the road. With Fairland ahead 42-6 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Peyton Jackson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 251 yards and four touchdowns, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Brycen Hunt, who picked up 123 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Chesapeake came up short against Rock Hill on Friday and fell 33-21.
Fairland's victory bumped their season record to 8-1 while Chesapeake's defeat dropped theirs to 3-6.
Everything came up roses for Fairland against Chesapeake in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 as the squad secured a 41-12 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fairland since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
