Edwards County had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.5 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They ended the year with a bang, routing the Frankfort Redbirds 53-28. The Lions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Redbirds, too.

When it comes to explaining why Frankfort lost, don't look at Evyn Lemmon. Despite the final result, she went 8-for-13 on her way to 17 points and eight rebounds. Lemmon is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 47% in the last four games she's played. Kylie Bowling also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Edwards County's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Frankfort, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.
