Jackson Academy took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Crenshaw Christian Academy, who comes in off a win.
Crenshaw Christian Academy put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past Snook Christian Academy, posting a 62-0 victory at home. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Crenshaw Christian Academy's two-point performance the contest before.
Jake Lawrence was on fire: he rushed for 213 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.5 yards per carry. Drake Mills also helped out as he racked up 125 rushing yards.
Crenshaw Christian Academy's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Moore.
Meanwhile, Jackson Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap two weeks ago as they fell 34-30 to Wilcox Academy. Jackson Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite their loss, Jackson Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Chuck Richardson, who picked up 118 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground, was perhaps the best of all. Jacob Criswell also helped out as he racked up 111 receiving yards.
Crenshaw Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Jackson Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-2.
