On Wednesday, Brush was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 43-42 to Windsor Charter Academy. Brush has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Beetdiggers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Michelle Headley, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 18 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Headley has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jocelynn Middlemist, who scored 11 points along with four steals.
Even though they lost, Brush smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Windsor Charter Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kylie Smith, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and two steals. Morgan Kimmi was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six steals and five assists.
Brush's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Windsor Charter Academy, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-6.
Brush will head out on the road to take on Weld Central at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Weld Central is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. Windsor Charter Academy will take on Loveland Classical at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Loveland Classical is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
