Skiatook were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They put a hurting on Hale to the tune of 41-6. That result was just more of the same for Skiatook, who also won the last time these teams played.
Skiatook started the match off right with 35 first-half points. Meanwhile, Hale couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 35-0 heading into the break. The Skiatook defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the match.
Skiatook's success was spearheaded by the efforts of junior Jayden Garner, who caught passes for 120 yards and 2 touchdowns, and senior Cody Evans, who passed for 138 yards and 3 touchdowns. One of the most memorable plays of the contest was Garner's 58-yard touchdown rush in the second quarter. Senior Greydon Jackson was in the mix, too, providing Skiatook with 2 touchdowns. The win bumped their record up to 3-0. The loss dropped Hale's record to 1-2.
