The Leesville Road Pride will head out to  challenge the Apex Cougars  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Leesville Road is coming into the  match hot, having won their last five games.
Leesville Road is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup  on Saturday. They skirted past Rolesville  3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win the Pride have posted  since August 18th.
 Leesville Road wouldn't go down easily and took Rolesville into a fifth set  where they got it done with a four-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-20, 20-25, 25-13,  15-11.

  Hayden Perry was nothing short of spectacular: she  had 24  digs and one  assist. She is  on a roll when it comes to  digs, as she's  now  had 11 or more in each of the last eight games she's  played.
Meanwhile, Apex faced Green Hope in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Cougars came up short against  the Falcons, falling  3-0. The Cougars have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
 While Apex ultimately came up short, they really made  Green Hope work, particularly in the second set. The final score came out to 25-21, 29-27,  25-22.
 Leesville Road will need to focus on slowing down  Rylee Moyer, one of several Apex players who made an impact when they last played. She  had 19  assists and 11  digs. Another player making a difference was  Paola Quirez, who  had seven  digs and two  aces.
 Apex's defeat dropped their record down to 17-5. As for Leesville Road, their victory bumped their record up to 17-4.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of  Tuesday's  matchup:  Leesville Road hasn't let much over the net this season,  having  averaged 4.6  blocks per game. It's a different story for Apex, though, as  they've been averaging  only 0.6  blocks. Given Leesville Road's sizable advantage in that area, the Cougars will need to find a way to close that gap.
 Leesville Road couldn't quite get it done against Apex when the teams last played  back in October of 2024 as they fell  3-1. Can the Pride avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
